Our Leaderboards are time-boxed competitions that celebrate our most active users and their helpful feedback to businesses on Twocents. Each campaign has clearly published start and end dates. Before a campaign opens you'll see a banner that reads “Starting in X days.” Once live, the banner becomes a day-by-day countdown, and when the window closes it switches to “Completed.”
During the campaign, every legitimate feedback submission (also referred to as a “suggestion”) you give to a business on Twocents counts as one point. Our AI automatically filters out spam, gibberish, duplicate comments, or otherwise ineligible content, and Twocents may remove any entry it judges to be low-quality or insincere. Suggestions should be constructive and specific — a few generic words like “Great food” or repeated comments at the same business or across multiple businesses don’t qualify. Submitting repeated low-quality or duplicate suggestions may result in disqualification from the campaign. Your rank is based solely on the number of qualifying suggestions you post within the campaign window. If two users finish with the same total, the one who reached it first will be listed higher.
To appear on the board you must (i) hold an active Twocents account, (ii) create a public username, and (iii) submit at least one qualifying suggestion during the campaign window. If you'd rather stay private, you can opt out at any time by clicking on the “Opt out of Leaderboard” button below; opting out removes you from public standings and from prize eligibility. If your displayed total looks off, email hello@twocents.io and we'll review your tally.
At the end of the campaign the top three users win gift-card prizes (amounts announced with each campaign). Winners are notified by email.
These Official Rules (“Rules”) govern the Twocents Leaderboard Contest (“Contest”) sponsored by Twocents Corporation (“Sponsor”). By participating, you agree to be bound by these Rules and by the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects.
1. Contest Period
Each Contest begins at 12:00 AM Eastern Time (“ET”) on the published start date and ends at 11:59 PM ET on the published end date (“Contest Period”). Sponsor may modify or cancel a Contest at any time by posting notice on the Twocents website or inside the Twocents app.
2. Eligibility
The Contest is open to natural persons who (a) are legal residents of any jurisdiction in which the Contest is lawful, (b) are at least thirteen (13) years of age or the age of digital consent in their jurisdiction (whichever is higher) at the time of entry, and (c) maintain an active Twocents account with a unique username and a verifiable email address. Employees, officers, and directors of Sponsor, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, prize suppliers, and their immediate family members or those living in the same household are not eligible. Void where prohibited.
3. How to Enter
A participant receives one (1) point for each qualifying suggestion submitted through the Twocents platform during the Contest Period. A “qualifying suggestion” is original feedback that complies with the Twocents Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, as determined by Sponsor's automated and manual review processes. Qualifying suggestions must provide meaningful, specific, and constructive feedback; extremely short or generic comments (e.g., “Great place,” “Loved it”) do not qualify. Repeated or substantially identical submissions, even if posted at different businesses or multiple times at the same business, are ineligible. Suggestions that consist only of labeling an item as “best” or using vague praise (e.g., “very good,” “so good”) without further detail are also ineligible. Sponsor reserves the right to disallow or remove any submission deemed low-quality, insincere, or otherwise inconsistent with the spirit of the Contest. Participants who repeatedly submit such content may be disqualified from the Contest entirely.
Opt-Out
Participants may opt out of leaderboard visibility at any time via account settings; however, opting out simultaneously removes the participant from prize consideration for the Contest Period then in progress.
4. Scoring and Winner Determination
Leaderboard standings are based on the number of qualifying suggestions earned during the Contest Period. The three (3) participants with the highest point totals at the end of the Contest Period will be deemed potential winners. In the event of a tie, the participant who reached the tied score first (as determined by the timestamp of their last counted suggestion) will rank higher. Sponsor's determination of point totals and timestamps is final.
5. Prizes
First, second and third places will receive gift cards of varying amounts in USD. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value at its sole discretion. No more than one prize may be awarded to any individual participant within a single Contest Period. All federal, state, and local taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winner.
6. Winner Notification and Verification
Potential winners will be notified at the email address associated with their Twocents account within seven (7) calendar days after the Contest Period ends. Each potential winner must respond within five (5) business days of notification and may be required to complete an eligibility affidavit, liability waiver, and/or IRS Form W-9. Failure to respond or to satisfy any verification requirement within the stated timeframe may result in forfeiture of the prize, and Sponsor may, at its discretion, award the prize to the next-highest-ranked eligible participant.
7. Publicity
Except where prohibited, winners agree that Sponsor may use their username and other Contest-related content for promotional purposes in any medium without additional compensation or approval.
8. General Conditions
Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Contest, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Sponsor is not responsible for any human, typographical, technical, or other errors that may occur in connection with the Contest or the processing of suggestions.
9. Release and Limitation of Liability
By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, prize suppliers, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claim or liability arising from participation in the Contest or acceptance, receipt, or use of any prize.
10. Privacy
Information collected from entrants is subject to the Twocents Privacy Policy available at https://www.twocents.io/privacy-policy.
11. Governing Law
These Rules are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey.
